That number could rise even higher if Campbell’s playing time incentives are not met, adding another $500,000 to the $373,332 the veteran could potentially lose in base salary and bonuses.
A game refusal could cost De’Vondre Campbell up to $873,332 and ultimately save the 49ers this much against the cap:
$201,666 (base salary for 3 games)
$60,000 (3 spins bonus per spin)
Up to $111,666 signing bonus

Campbell, who spent the last three seasons with the Green Bay Packers, signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the 49ers, who desperately needed linebacker quality while Dre Greenlaw recovered from an Achilles tendon injury.
Campbell appeared in 13 games for the 49ers and totaled 79 tackles and three tackles for a loss during the 2024 season.
